
Landscape Enhancement Services
Our enhancement services provide continued planning and installation services for materials purchased from out garden centers.
Visit us in store to get started! Please bring the following materials and information so we can best serve you:
- Photos of the planting area
- Access – are there any fences, gates, walls, stairs or other obstacles (existing plant materials), etc. when taking the plants from the curb to desired planting location?
- Is there currently anything in the location, or within 15sq ft of the area you want planted (i.e. trees, stumps, patio, pool, driveway, etc.)
- Was there previously anything in the desire planting location (i.e. tree, stump, patio, driveway, etc.)
- Are there any sprinkler, electrical, or utility lines that might interfere with the planting?
What to Expect:
Before Our Arrival:
- Clear the planting area of any debris or other plant material.
- Place Planting flags where you’d like the trunk or centre of the plant to be. Be sure to know where you’d like the plants so you can direct the installers
- Check the area to ensure there are no neighbouring plants or roots that may be damaged, and no concrete, pipes, electrical, or other obstructions.
- You are responsible to for having any private utilities or irrigation lines marked out in advance. Salisbury will not be responsible for any unmarked damaged lines.
Call: 1-800-242-3447 or visit Utilitysafety.ca/wheres-the-line/submit-a-locate-request/ - Have the appropriate watering tools ready so you can properly irrigate the planting. The watering of the plant is crucial to the success of the planting!
During the Service:
- You will receive a scheduling confirmation 1-5 days ahead of our arrival.
- The planting crew will come equipped with all of the appropriate tools and soil amendments needed to ensure a successful installation.
- The appropriate amount of compost and starter fertilizer will be added at the time of planting to create an ideal planting environment.
- The new planting will be waters by the planting crew, pending the availability and access to water at your home or business. Further care and watering instructions will be provided when you sign the approve the installation
Caring for your New Plants
- New plant installations need extra attention and watering! Check moisture and monitor your plants daily for signs of stress.
- Do not solely rely on your irrigation system to water. A thorough, deep soaking of the root ball is necessary on a regular basis for the first 6 weeks at a minimum.
- Pay attention to the weather and compensate for hot, dry days.
- Plant Guarantee:
- Trees and Shrubs are guaranteed to survive until the end of the next growing season, ending September 15th
- Tender Roses, Small Fruits, Perennials and Vines are guaranteed until the end of the current growing season (ending Nov 1st). No overwinter guarantee applies.
- Sod guaranteed for 15 days.

Pricing
Work includes digging, removal of existing soil or clay, installation of garden mix and staking as required. Garden mix is a mixture of topsoil, peat moss and sand. In addition, mobilization fees for each project are incurred.

Mobilization Fee & Disposal:
Includes loading, handling, drive time, vehicle cost removal of debris, removal of pots etc. Mobilization rates include 1 trip of materials – additional costs for larger plant installations.

- Edmonton/ Strathcona County/ Sturgeon County $150.00
- Outside Edmonton Zone (Spruce Grove, Stoney Plain, Beaumont, Leduc) $200.00
Additions:
Service items beyond plant installation require an estimate by Landscape Enhancement Account Representative. Items may include but are not limited to:
- Bed creation
- edging
- Wood mulch / rock installation (landscape fabric)
- Lawn seeding
- Sod repair
- Stepping stone install
Core Offering
Landscape consultation (may include a hand-drawn planting plan), installation and maintenance using trees, shrubs, perennials and garden accessories directly sourced from our nursery.

- Seasonal Planting: Flowers and perennials that align with seasonal and local climate
Lawn Care/ Maintenance
- Soil Renewal: Enhancing soil nutrition around newly purchased plants
- Mulch top-up – parkland premium mulch or black mulch full yard option
- Sod repair/ replacement (small areas)
- Top-dress & Seeding application
